I've heard that some mills can threaten to tip over if you have
something heavy (that you're going to mill) on the bed.

If you live in earthquake country (as I do, I can see the San Andreas
fault from my house) you might consider bolting it down.
It's unlikely that you or a loved one is under it when there's
a quake, but if it does happen, you'd be wishing you'd done it.
(as I look around my office and see my unbolted bookshelves with the MSC
catalog right on the top in a perfect position to clobber me in
the head...)
