I don't think I'll be wanting to reverse the lathe...! I hadn't thought of
driving the contactor coil with a transformer and using the existing
contacts. That's a good idea.
I keep thinking I should get a switch, like used for table saws and drill
presses. I wouldn't think 3/4 HP should be an excessive load, but then I'm
not a power engineer.
