One thing I haven't seen anyone else mention yet is snow in the fresh air
intake. I'm throwing this out because you didn't mention where you live, if you
have snow, or if this occurs all the time. Some cars don't have much of a
problem with this, but after a new snow, I'm guaranteed a full set of completely
fogged over windows in my Saab 900 after the heater core starts to warm up. The
fresh air intake seems to have been designed to collect about a quart of snow
over night, and then funnel it right into the heater when you start it in the
morning.

You'd think a car designed by people who live where it snows a lot wouldn't have
this problem. But then again, you'd think a person with a three car garage
could park his daily driver inside to avoid this problem in the first place!
