John,
I will second Doug's experience. I bought one about a year ago and it does a
very neat
job in drywall, but that is not why I bought one. I bought it because I seem
to be
putting in outlets and "in the ceiling light fixtures" with some regularity. I
find
that this tool is much preferable to cutting through the plaster in my house.
A Sawzall
if fine for rough cutting but this is a much better tool for renovation type of
work in
plaster. Doesn't separate the plaster from the lath.
