Setting up HF drill press

Hi
I've lost my saved messages due to a computer change 
but do remember someone recommended some areas 
of concern when setting up a New Harbor Freight floor 
drill press.  I believe the areas concerned some hand 
filing or detailing of the various surfaces and maybe 
something to do with special lubricant(s).
If anyone remembers and has added information and 
or recommendations, please reply.
