Sorry for the waste of bandwidth, but I forgot the "most important"
advantage of a two-stage over a single stage, about twice as much air.
A typical 5 HP single stage compressor will put out around 9.5 - 10.5
CFM @ 90 PSI while a 5 HP two stage will put out around 17-20 CFM @ 100
PSI, and close to that same output at 175 PSI.
