A while back on this list it was suggested to add water to the
solvent tank to a level several inches below the pump pickup.
The idea is to have the water to absorb some of the contaminant.
You then change the water more frequently than the solvent.
Is anyone doing this with agitene?
I use super agitene in a parts washer that is located outside
and last winter a bunch of rain water got in the tank. It
looked to me like the agitene and water tended to mix easily
with slight agitation and took several days to separate. I would
think that this would be a problem if you wanted to add water
for the reasons above, so I'm wondering if anyone has tried it.
Agitene is listed an insoluble in water with a .78 specific gravity.
