James,

SFM (speaking for myself), I would never run a spark plug
in or out using a power tool, especially not on alloy heads.
Too easy to strip the threads if the plug begins to bind
due to carbon or dirt. You won't notice the binding
with a power tool like you would by hand.  

As for a cutoff tool stalling, I haven't had that problem
with my cheapie cutoff tool powered by 10 cfm at 90 psi.
