[oletrucks] Spare tire mount - '53 AD 3100 pickup

Hi Guys,
On an auction site there is an under-bed spare tire mount 
for my '53 AD 3100 pickup but the seller recently heard it 
fits only 1954 and later. Can someone tell me what is 
different or whether it should work on my '53? The seller is 
a good guy and is waiting for my answer.
