I agree with robert-the camaro clip is a PRO job only. there are tips/tricks
and it can be done and done well but is NOT for the one-time hobbist or amutuer
welder who does not have a 220 MIG machine at min(dont flame me-im sure there
are plenty 100 yr old guys who can weld one on with a perfect bead with a coat
hanger and jumper cables-just dont tell me about it)LOL!
side note-DONT WELD STRUCTURAL WITH FLUX-CORE 110 WELDER!-shame!
HOWEVER... with the increasing sophistication of IFS kits, they are getting to
be a better option.
In my opinion-they should be for street trucks only though. I still dont think
any of them(being car based) should be used in panels or suburbans or trucks
meant to tow. In those-I prefer either stock supension w/disc brakes or
industrial chassis conversion IFS for TF trucks only.
If you have an AD panel/sub/tow rig, your only good options are 4x4 frame swap,
camaro clip or OEM.

They will have the front end stuff that you want
If you cut and install a junk clip in your frame, In my honest opinion
are doing harm to the integrity of you frame. I have seen countless
times that people have cut there frame to do a front clip change and it
turn in to a real mess you had better know what you are doing when you
start because it is not as easy as some will tell, you better know how
to weld like a Pro. Now you can buy a new IES front end that will bolt
in to these trucks with minimum welding I would use one but in my 54 I
have Power Steering with an 800 sires Saginaw Box works OK with my org.
straight axle. If you want some pictures ping me off list I will send
them if you are in Texas or not Call me if you want 817-437-2892
