Need some experience knowledge.
To install above had to remove the very stout ( 60 ~ 70 lbs ) xmember under
the front of the cab installing a generic xmember behind the trans bolted to
the lower frame flange. Though this xmember should support the trans ok it
will furnish little or no support to the removed under front cab area. Like to
know others experience with this bolt in removable replacement xmember as to
stoutness / design.
Another subject is front engine belt driven accessories. To use the stock LT-1
( Caprice ) cast engine brackets I'll loose the AC compressor with frame
interference. Would like the AC but don't really want to notch the frame in
this critical area next to the front axle bolting and changing to used
Corvette arrangement would cost $1000 plus freight.
Any thoughts on this is appreciated,
