Gurus,
I know this sale is no longer valid, but it did bring to mind some Spring
activities (my cab interior). I'm ready to get rid of the Indian blanket seat
cover & the torn door panels and replace them correctly. My headliner,
seatback panel and visor are still very serviceable.
Jim Carter lists more seat "options" than any of the other vendors, ie: maroon,
brown, black, french stitching, spanish grain etc. What is correct for a 1953
Delux cab GMC. I've never found any evidence of interior options when new.
The 50 GMC in this month's Vintage truck references a leather option. Too bad
the article photos were in B&W. "oleGMC trucks" lists an interior paint color
& I think Bob Alder may have a GMC paint package for sale. I sent Carters an
e-mail over the weekend and have yet to receive a reply. There used to be a
guy named Kelly on this list to coordinate our workings with Jim Carter and
even give discounts. Is he still around?
I'm not attempting a show truck or a custom -- just a good & accurate
replacement/refreshing of the original.
Any advice or alternate paths to follow? Thanks in ADvance,
Gene

To Da List(s),
I just thought that you all might want to know that Jim Carter has a 'Colorado
Winter Sale' 20% off all orders over $100.00 until 1-31-06. You must mention
offer 'JC78' to receive your discount.
Probably Texans can also partake but they should call 1-800-842-1913 or goto
www.oldchevytrucks.com to be sure. ;-)
oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959
