Price will in part depend on your location, but $2500 sounds way too high for 
what you're describing. I'm in Oklahoma and a 1950 Chevy truck in the 
condition your describing could easily be had for $500 - $1000 tops. Don't 
overspend 
up front because all the updates get pricey and often you end up replacing 
much of what you bought in the original vehicle.
