I don't know why they changed the sizes, but it really doesn't matter
what size they are, as long as they're connected properly. Looks like
you'll need to send back for the correct parts, and you've learned
that you really need to go to some effort to specify what parts you
need when you order things, because some companies don't seem to take
the effort themselves.
