I don't know if this will answer your question, but on my 56 Chevy Panel, I
did the same thing for power brakes, but I used a Toyota Master Cyl.  It has
hose hook ups, and I ran them to a reservoir mounted on the firewall.  It
worked GREAT!!!!!
