Does anyone know how the door weatherstrip retainer ( the narrow metal strip at the bottom of the doors) on a 53 3100 is installed. Is the retainer screwed on first and then the rubber weatherstrip glued on top, or is the weatherstrip glued on and then the retainer screwed on?? pic of part in question: http://members.cox.net/wcraig5/53retainer.jpg Also, in the pic, is the retainer in the proper position?? Thanks, Wayne C. 53 1/2 ton oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959 |
