I third that. I bought one two years ago also. It will just come on
unexpectedly. Sometimes the volume will go wide open for no reason. When it
comes
on unexpectedly, it will not go off unless I turn the ignition switch off and
cut the power to it. Sometimes won't work with either the remote or push
buttons. I, too, have seen the ads. They have probably improved the unit.
Can't
say anything bad about the compactness. Doesn't show anywhere. That's the
ONLY thing I like about the unit. (I bought the CD Player also). I gave up
trying to talk to a person in California.
I bought a name brand, took the Secret Audio out and the new name brand works
great....My opinion also.
