[oletrucks] Spare Tire Mount

I have a 1942 Chevrolet 1/2 ton pickup.  Has anyone ever used the spare tire 
mounts common to the newer 2000+ Chevrolet pickups.   These are the winch type 
with cables that lower and raise the tire up under the truck bed.   I was 
wondering if anyone has
used them and the problems associated with mounting this type of tire mount
