I'm the person who bought the fire engine a couple of months ago. The rust on the body is pretty mild except on the part between the front cab and the body. There is a space of three or four inches between the two, and it looks very rusty, but not destroyed. I don't have the money or resources to do a frame up restoration. I do have a sandblaster. If I sandblasted--or walnutshelled--in the space between the cab and body and then sprayed in epoxy primer, would that at least hold things steady for now?
