I'ld say start with the "Dad" who owned it, IF he owned and ask if he HAD a
title once! If Yes, it's up to Him to fill out paperwork and search info. An
old registration slip would be helpful, an old plate on car? Maybe there's
paperwork in glovebox? or sometimes in spaces like under seat or in storage
packets in car? Maybe on owner's manual or repair papers in glovebox or ???
A Mustang would be late enough you should be able to take VIN in and have
search of it's number. Any State can search nation wide to make sure not a
stolen number and usually will come up with an owner or more.
