Okaaaayyy! THANK YOU for the lesson on drive lines. I see now that I was
using the wrong terminology, but thanks for your patient instruction I now
understand what is going on down there (more or less). This is a stock truck,
so if I
don't want to replace the rear end (which would be cheaper) then I need to
buy a gear kit. Being somewhat of a purist at this point in my truck ownership,
I'm going to just change out the stuff with a kit from Patricks as ya'll have
suggested.
I'm trying to get all the mechanical stuff addressed before I sink my money
into the body work. NOT EASY!
