Steve,

When I took my cab off, I had fairly limited head room, and rolling the frame
out from under the cab wasn't an option as 2 of the 4 wheels were seized at
that time. After taking the doors off, I bolted a chain to one of the lower
door hinge bolt hole on each side of the cab, and bolted a second chain
through the holes where the rear cab mounts holes come up through he floor. I
inserted my engine hoist into the door opening, draped the chains over the
hook, and had a fairly stable and secure four point lift.

The cab came right up square (got lucky with the hook placement I guess!) and
I simply rolled the whole thing off to the side. I had made up a cab dolly
our of 4x4 timbers and some 4" swivel casters (similar to the design posted in
the Tech section at Chevytrucks.org) and set it down nice and gentle. Went
nice and smooth and no strains at all.

Hope this helps!
