On my other vehicle I was told by a old bus mechanic that cv joint
lubricant was the best, similliar type usages and I have had no problem

The mail thing is to use something fluid , _not_ grease ! STP or
similar if your seal is hot but fluidity is critical as these boxes
are recirculating ball typ and _will_not_ be lubricated if you squish
grease in there .
Any one here have acess to a Mc Kay catalog ? they should make some
typ of steering box lube , they make everything else .
I've heard nothing but good about American Classic , maybe they're
just busy ? . two weeks isn't too bad .
