I've been lurking in the background long enough around
here! Now that summer is slipping away and I've
acquired another tuck, it's time to get to work.
The latest addition to our Chevy truck family is a
1953 Chevrolet 6400 series 2-ton with a Midwest dump
body. I purchased the truck as a restored and complete
chassis, driveline, and dump body, but the cab an all
sheetmetal and interior are completely disassembled.
The previous owner removed the old west coast syle
mirrors, and left me with nothing besides holes in the
doors. Where can I find a nice set of chrome west
coast style mirrors for my truck? Do they all mount
the same, or are they vehicle specific? The bed is a
full 8 feet wide, so the short stalk 3100 mirrors will
not keep me from running over my garage, kids, or
other vehicles! As always, all help is appreciated in
ADvance!
