If the gauge doesn't work, even after sensor replacement, alot of times
that printed floppy circuit on the back of the cluster usually burns out.
Usually it goes first on the Ammeter gauge, the temp gauge rarely draws
enough current to fry the track. But, it is possible. Also, the contacts for
the track could be corroded, if he wiggles the connector which plugs into the
printed circuit, it might start functioning again. Good luck on it!
