That is who I used, all my dealings were with Paul Williamson. Were you
working with someone else at this shop? At first he quoted me a reasonable
price via e-mail. I sent him 2 full spedos and asked that in order to
reduce the cost he could keep what he did not need to do my job. After he
got everything he responded via e-mail by doubling the original quoted
price. I responded with 3 or 4 un returned e-mails. He finally responded
with a slightly higher than quoted price. He also took about twice as long
as he originally quoted. Now it looks like he did not calibrate it AT ALL.

Thanks for your input but we have to different experiences with the same
guy.

You can buy a new dial face sticker & needle and install them yourself, to
improve the looks. The cable shouldn't affect the high reading though. all
it
does is transfer the RPM from the trans to the speedo head. FYI I've found
that Williamson's http://www.williamsons.com/
does great work on instruments from any old vehicle.

Ok - I got my Speedo rebuilt from 2 donor units and it look kind of crappie.
I thought a full rebuild would re decal the whole thing including the
odometer wheels. My guy did not. Well now I put it back in and it did not
work (just like when I got the truck). So I pulled the odometer cable and
installed a new one with a rubber jacket. The Speedo now works however it
now looks like crap (to me). I was wondering what the list option is of
placing the new cable inside the old sleeve for the original look.

The second question. In driving the truck with my daughter following we
were talking on cell phones to compare her speed in a Saturn vs. the truck
odometer speed.

My 0 to 10 is very tough to matain however at my 40 mph she had 51 mph.

Any ideas.

I am all original with 6.50 x 16 bi-ply wheels.

Thanks,
