[oletrucks] '54 Grill Painting

I'm looking for a technical piece of painting info on my '54 grill.  I think
that I had once read that the front grill on the '54 had a different color
on part of the horizontal bars.  Does anyone have any info on this?  
Specifically,
there are 3 "planes" that run the length of these bars and I'm trying to
find out where the color change occurs.  Is it on the second or third plane
counting from the face.
