I took mine to a local car repair shop that did a lot of flood
restoration work. For a small fee (actually, I "good-old-boyed" my way
thru it instead of paying) they added the 1.5 gallons of water and half
a gallon of gas I picked up in a bad tank full of gas. With all the
flooding problems that Austin recently had I'll bet you can find a shop
such as this.

Subject: [oletrucks] Getting rid of old gas in TX
Hello,
Fred the newcomer here. I just picked my grandfathers 58 Apache and I am
about to start the rebuild. The engine will start with starter fluid but
dies quickly. The gas is two years old and it has half a tank. If I
drain
it out, how do I safely (legally) get rid of it?
Thanks,
Fred Juch
