I received this email from Bob Schmahl concerning 57 Cameo body and engine
colors. I thought I would share it with the mailing list.

Subject: CAMEO QUESTIONS
Hi Dennis,
This is in reply to the questions you forwarded to me regarding Cameo colors

whom you received the questions.

Dark and Light Green Interior was used in Cameos of:

Red and Beige interior was used in Cameos of:

Cardinal Red-Bombay Ivory

As you can see, there were 11 two-tone exterior color combinations and 4
interior color combinations.
The source of the above information is:
1957 Truck Data Book, Specifications Catalog for Chevrolet Salesmen
Engine Information:
There were several V-8 engines used in the various Chevrolet trucks of 1957.
They were Super Loadmaster 322 cu. in., Loadmaster 322 cu. in., Super
Taskmaster 283 cu. in., Trademaster 265 cu. in., Turbo-Fire 265, Turbo-Fire
283 and Super Turbo-Fire 283. I believe that the Loadmaster engines may
have been green but I am not sure. Perhaps the various 283 engines were
orange. I have been under the impression that the 265 Trademaster engines
(which is the V-8 used in the 3100 series pick-ups) were gray but I don't
have documentation to verify that.
Here are some people who may be able to provide additional information:

Be sure to enclose SASE with your question.
Tom Trainor

I hope this helps. If the correct color for the 265 cu. in. engine used in
1957 pick-ups is verified, I hope you will advise me.
