I've noticed some mention on the list lately about installing the Chevy
Duty wiring harness. I, too, am installing their harness, and I'm about
2/3 done, but I have a couple of quick questions:
The harness comes with two wires that connect to the alternator. One is
#3, which connects the ammeter to the "screw lug terminal" on the
alternator. This wire is exactly the same as in the previous setup. The
other wire, however, connects the ignition switch's ignition terminal to
this weird little plastic "2-way connector," to the "screw lug terminal"
on the alternator. This wire was not in place in the previous setup --
what should I do with it? (I should probably mention that I have a
key-start 12V setup.)
Also, on the ammeter, which terminal is the +, and which is the -?
