Wife and I will be attending the GoodGuys 12th Great Lakes Nationals
this weekend, in Berrian Springs Michigan. 3 hours or so from our home.
Went last year for the first time, had a ball. Sore neck from snapping
head back and forth, checking out the rides. I'll be wearing the
"Official List Shirt" and nosing in and around the trucks, getting ideas
and inspirations. Hope to maybe see and meet any of the good folks from
this group.
Also got my 700R4 this morning. Transmission is a rebuild, heavy duty
innards, Corvette servo, shift kit....$499.00
Detent Cable.......................19.95
Dipstick & Tube..................19.95
Stock Torque Convertor......69.95

With tax, $50 delivery, $70 core chg., total was $747.30
Six month warranty on trans. and convertor. He said it should turn my
4:11 into a 2:80 in overdrive. When I later go to 5 bolt rear, ratio in
the mid-low 3's, he said I should go to Bonneville. Anybody interested,
shop is located in Flint, Mich., original home of these trucks. Will
give you the info. Now just have to get tilt column/shifter, p/s box.
Pieces of the puzzle are slowly coming together. Won't be finished by
any means (are they ever?), but should be on the road soon.

P.S. This weekend is our 21st wedding anniversary. Surprised the missus
last year by going to the Nats. She surprised ME by wanting to go there
again!!! Whatta woman!!!
