Tom,
If the cable housing is still good, go to the local hardware store and buy
some cable to run through the old housing. I normally just buy some of the
barrel locks "it looks like a small piece of tubing with a hole in the
center and a machined screw in the end and when you pass the wire through
the barrel, you just tighten the machine screw to lock it in place".
If your looking to replace the pedal and cable completely you might look at
removing one from say a Camaro, Chevelle, Nova etc., I often remove the
ones that attach to the firewall with three 1/4 inch sheet metal screws and
has the cable bracket on the carburetor. The main problem you might run
into is the stock cable maybe to short for your installation.
The other company that I buy cables from is Gennie Shifter Co. and Lokar.
I'll look them up if your interested in that kind of cable.
