Evening Y'all, I noticed that the old king pin bearings at the bottom of the yoke on my '47 3100 were dry upon disassembly (so what's new after 50 or so years). I am replacing the king pins now and have packed wheel bearing grease in the lower bearing. My question is, was that the proper thing to do or should they have been replaced dry for some reason? Still not too late to back up. Thanks Barry __________________________________________________ oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959 |
