My '59 fleetside is really not that pretty anymore. The blue paint is worn
down to brown primer in spots and there is some rust in the corners that
needs fixed. However, at lunch today I went to get some chainsaw blades
sharpened and the 4 people at the lawn mower shop came out to admire my
truck. One lady called it "pretty" and the kid actually new the year and
explained the difference between it and his uncle's '57. On the way back to
work I stopped at the Taco Bell drive thru to get a burrito and 2 kids hung
out the window to say "cool truck". Thats fun. It is really "cool" to own an
old truck. Stock, rod, whatever, its just cool.
