The "black primer" is actually John Deere Blitz Black acrylic enamel low
gloss topcoat for their tractor cab exterior window frames. It also was
used on the old J. D. snowmobiles. It has good UV and corrosion
resistance without being topcoated. I get the "primer" look with
topcoat durability and can still put on a gloss topcoat later.

i think thats a great looking truck my 50 3100 is black primer but sure
