Barb, Have you considered using a set of dropped spindles? 2" dropped spindles for that 79 3/4 ton can be had new for around $120 with a life time warranty from A.I.M. ( they advertise in Truckin magazine). You can change them out in half a day. You will have to have the front end realigned. I personally wouldn't cut the coils. Cutting them shortens your suspension travel and can make for a harsh ride.
