I'm no electrician, but you can easily check your battery's voltage with a
tester. I got mine at the hardware store for 10-15 bucks. I also learned
that after I got rid of my generator, and got an alternator, the battery
charges a lot faster, and holds a charge for a lot longer. It was well
worth it to make that conversion. You may also have a short that's draining
your battery.
