The thing I like about the 15 inch rims is that the ones I have a a little wider
than the 16 inch rim, 5.5 I think This is within recommendations for a 7.00 15
inch radial that I use. This tire is close to same dia as the 6.50 16 and has a
profile like stock tires. Unfortunately I bought Firestone Steeltex, not
recalled
but have me wishing they were. I'm making a 350 mile trip (one way) to Latimore,
Pa Inliners picnic and guess I will boost tire pressure and drop down about 5
MPH. Keep in mind I was not looking for big dia tires but rather stock dia. and
profile in a radial truck tire. If you want big dia. tires you might want to
stick with 16's.
