I paid very close to that to have my '51 GMC radiator re-cored. I have no
experience with repro radiators, they are probably fine, but be sure you are
looking at prices for a GMC radiator - they are different from Chevrolet and
will not interchange.
I much prefer to do business with a local shop on work like this. Most will
let you watch the rebuild process and testing. There is a lot involved - you
will get your $400 worth.
