I'd like opinions on what might be causing my engine to surge. It's like
the gas pedal is being slightly pumped from off-idle to about 1,500 rpms
(not huge surges, but enough to make it look like the driver is having
convulsions - it does not surge at idle and only when the engine it at
normal operating temp). For some reason, it just started doing it last
weekend (over 2,000 miles on the rebuild). It's an inline with dual
Rochester's on it. I have a feeling it's a float problem in a carb (or
both), but wanted to see if anyone has experienced this before. I don't
think it's fuel starvation (all new stuff from tank to carb with a newly
replaced fuel filter, and I checked the flow by disconnecting the line at
the front carb and starting the engine). Any suggestions before I perform
an autopsy on the carbs?

Thanks for the help.
