Vince--

The fleetside and stepside used the same frame.  There were two
different lengths of fleetside beds, 78" and 98".  Note that the earlier
(55-57?) long beds were about 90", so you have to check carefully what
you have before you get too far along in your search for a bed!

I have both long bed and short bed fleetside trucks, if you need any
measuremens...
