Hello Oletruckers.
Just came back from a 10 day trip to Venezuela and of course while there I
kept my eyes open for Oletrucks and I was very amazed at what I saw. The
most interesting was that that majority of all the trucks I saw where
1958-1959 and I saw two '55-'56 trucks. All these trucks looked like daily
drivers for heavy used, as a matter of fact I saw a '56 wreckers still on
service on one of the freeways, I saw a 1 ton '58 panel, the guy that drives
it is a produce farmer and uses it for taking his stuff to the farmers
market for sale. In Caracas I saw a four door '57 Bel Air taxi in pretty
good shape. Saw a lot of F$#ds and a lady friend of mine restored a '53
International truck.
It was an interesting trip and I am glad to be back home and so is my
family.
Regards,
Antonio
