I have 3.54's and 30inch tall tires in my '59 with stock 235....I pulled
the HEI becuase of problems...but at 2800 RPMs in 4th, I get close to 15 MPG,
and 3000 RPMs in 4th, I get 14.5mpg. 2800 is around 60 and 3000 is around 65
if I recall.
I think you're normal, I don't check milage in town driving.
