The 73 to 79 Nova 10 bolt is the perfect width, and the springs line up
beautifully, I spent today installing one in the rear of my 49 3100. Also,
an 8.5" 10 bolt will withstand plenty of abuse, I have a couple of friends
with high horse Novas running these rear ends, and they report no problems.
