the 305 was used in third gen camaros up till the later 80's...the th-700r4
is the same as the 4l60e except for the electronic part.....the fourth gen
camaros used a 3.4 v6 up till i believe 95?.....then they went to the 3.8
series 2 (which suprised me with the get up and go...the early fourth gen
v8s were lt1's and the later were the new ls1...which very few if any parts
will enterchange with the typical small block chevy.
the ls1 can be determined easily by the intake plenum which is plastic
just thought i might share the wisdom i recieved from working in a gm
