1--I run them on my Corvette and they do stop better than standard but also
wear the rotors faster and so they would do the same to drums.
2--My vette is driven regularly. Metallic brake shoes/pads are NOT suggested
for vehicles that spend much time sitting or in storage. They will rust.
But they should be fine for a daily driver as long as you don't mind the
faster wear on your drums.
