On cars they rotated the inlet and outlet relative to pump arm when motor mounts moved to the sides. sometimes these get used on trucks. If glass bowl type you can use 45 degree fittings or rotate body by unscrewing screws at diaphragm. Much newer pumps also fit, but they look like 1980s because they are.
