Eric, the 270 distributor does have bushings in the housing. Hopefully the
wear is in the bushings and not the shaft.
The steel ball on the flywheel should be at 5 degrees before TDC. There
should be a mark at TDC. All GMC inlines that I know of are timed at 5
degrees BTDC.
Not sure what you mean buy "crossfire induction" ?
