Hello all, I usually take a cordless drill and a broken chainsaw file to test the speedo. Put the shortened bottom (the square side) out from the chuck and insert it into the receptical on the back of the speedo. Use a varitable speed drill, that way you can try it out at differing speeds (up to 15 mph....) Take care and happy hunting.
