Ahh the memories.....
my first ride was a 51 3100. paid 500 bucks for as a junior in HS in '71.
Primer grey, no rust, older but running 235 all original. Almost got my
first ticket when a 69 camero pulled out of a parking lot ahead of me and
burnt rubber. Cop thought it was me. I told him it was the car in front of
me. He didn't believe me so I told him he was welcome to try to get any
scratch he could (except in granny) and I would conceed to the ticket. He
got in, gave it a try and laughed. Said he just wanted to sit in it for old
time sake. (Small town in the real northern Calif. Yuba City;-))
Took it to the prom my senior year after paint, interior, and rebuild.
Google eye city! Was one of my proudest moments.
Now I'm married to a great lady who added to the collection with her
grandfather's 56 suburban, My 9 yr old son and I are working on our 552nd
3200 in a basket, and mom got/conceeded to pool table in the front room.
Ain't rich but life gets no better than this.
